Tenebrae et Lux: Music for a Cathedral

The NC State Department of Music is pleased to present a choral concert entitled, “Tenebrae et Lux: Music for a Cathedral.” This concert of choral music befitting the Lenten season will be performed by three NC State Choirs: the State Chorale, Singing Statesmen, and Vox Accalia. Works will include Allegri’s famous Miserere mei, Deus, which was performed annually at the Sistine Chapel during Holy Week for many years, as well as sacred music by Brahms, Howells, Biebl, Pergolesi, Tavener, Matsushita, and others. Cathedral organist Dr. David Eaton will be a featured guest performer. The choirs Will be directed by Nathan Leaf accompanied by pianist
