February 17 @ 8:30 am - 12:00 pm
The Diocese of Raleigh invites mothers and their daughters in grades 6 – 8 to attend a fun, informational “girl only “event at St. Michael’s in Cary. The focus is on important topics of young adolescence that encompass the physical, social and emotional changes girls experience during the pre-teen years, particularly with the view of God’s plan for us. This unique program is a balance between teaching and activities blended for both mother and daughter and will not cover topics related to sexual intimacy. In addition, resources will be provided to the mothers/mother-figures for their on-going journey with their daughters.
The Mother-Daughter Tea will include talks from industry professionals such as staff from the Roman Catholic Diocese of Raleigh and a local Medical Pediatrician. In addition, there will be a craft and refreshments.
The charge is $20 for a mother and daughter, $5 for each additional daughter.
