Stephanie Gray is an international pro-life presenter from Vancouver, Canada, who has traveled North America, Central America, and Europe speaking almost 1,000 times over two decades to vast and varied crowds, including medical, legal, political, and university audiences. In 2017 she spoke for the series “Talks at Google,” presenting at Google headquarters in Mountain View, CA, on the topic “Abortion: From Controversy to Civility.” The Youtube recording went viral and is part of the 200 popular uploads out of more than 4,000 “Talks at Google.” She has also been interviewed on ABC, NBC and Fox news.
Stephanie is also a writer, having authored the book “Love Unleashes Life: Abortion and the Art of Communicating Truth.” She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from UBC in Vancouver, and a Certification, with Distinction, in health care ethics from the NCBC in Philadelphia.
Dr. John Bergsma is Professor of Theology at the Franciscan University of Steubenville. A former Protestant pastor, Dr. Bergsma entered the Catholic Church in 2001 while getting his Ph.D. in Bible from the University of Notre Dame.
A close collaborator of Dr. Scott Hahn, Bergsma speaks regularly on Catholic radio and at conferences and parishes nationally and internationally. He has authored seven books on Scripture and the Catholic faith, including Bible Basics for Catholics (Ave Maria Press), Stunned by Scripture: How the Bible Made Me Catholic (Our Sunday Visitor), and A Catholic Introduction to the Bible: Old Testament (with Brant Pitre; Ignatius Press He and his wife Dawn reside with their eight children in Steubenville, OH. Helen Alvaré is a Professor of Law at George Mason University School of Law, where she teaches Family Law, Law and Religion, and Property Law. She publishes on matters concerning marriage, parenting, non-marital households, and the First Amendment religion clauses. She is faculty advisor to the law school’s Civil Rights Law Journal, and the Latino/a Law Student Association, a consultor for the Pontifical Council of the Laity (Vatican City), an advisor to the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops (Washington, D.C.), a founder of WomenSpeakforThemselves.com, and an ABC news consultant. She cooperates with the Permanent Observer Mission of the Holy See to the United Nations respecting matters concerning women and the family.
In addition to her books, and her publications in law reviews and other academic journals, Professor Alvaré publishes regularly in news outlets. She also speaks at academic and professional conferences in the United States, Europe, Latin America and Australia.
Prior to joining the faculty of George Mason, Professor Alvaré represented the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops before legislative bodies, academic audiences and the media; and was a litigation attorney for the Philadelphia law firm of Stradley, Ronon, Stevens & Young. She was also a spot-welder and a diner waitress in Philadelphia.
Professor Alvaré received her law degree from Cornell University School of Law and her master’s degree in Systematic Theology from the Catholic University of America. She is married with three grown children.
